Burna Boy releases the official music video of his single “Ye” directed by renown director, Clarence Peters.

This video coincides with the anniversary of legendary Afrobeat maestro Fela Anikulapo- Kuti and is more like a tribute to the king and originator of Afrobeat music.

Ye” carries a hard to miss political message and carries a lot of similarities to Fela’s style; for example the costume worn by dancers in the video is similar to that of Fela‘s dancers.

The video also features a brief appearance by the Egberi Papa One of Bayelsa, Timaya.

Burna Boy whose real name is Damini Ogulu has been on the Nigerian music scene since his rise to prominence in 2012 with his single ” Like To Party” and has been consistent becoming one of the most sought after acts in the industry. He is known and loved for his unique style of music which sets him apart from his peers. His other popular songs include “ Devil in California“, ” Plotting” and others.

Clarence Peters who also directed the artists previous Video “Deja Vu” also shot ” Ye ” as well.
