Adding banana peels to your compost pile or pit will add essential nutrients such as Calcium, magnesium, phosphate, sulfur, sodium, and potassium which are vital for the healthy growth of plants. Cut the peels into smaller pieces and bury next to the roots of the plants you want to fertilise; then water the plant immediately. Pest like aphids is known to like banana peels so you can bury the cut pieces around the plant which will deter them from coming around, garlic and the banana peels can also be ground into a paste and sprayed on the plants.
As protection from UV rays:
Banana peels can help protect you from UV rays. But funny enough, you have to live the skins in the sun for up to 30 minutes, rub on your eyelids – since they are more sensitive to the UV rays – and other parts of the body open to the sun. This protects you from the rays of the sun and prevents the skin from damage.
As meat tenderizer:
Banana peels can help keep your streak moist and juicy when added to the roasting pan. It helps your meat stay juicy while in the oven and come out full of flavor; as it acts a blanket for it and closes in the moisture, therefore, preventing it from vaporizing. No more dry steaks.
