Tulenkey began his journey into the music scene from primary school as a talented rapper. At that time, he came out in the open through a Talent show and was popularly known by friends and family as Optimist. He had taken the stage on am impromptu seen and has never looked back to consider anything else.
Tulenkey hails from Kibi in the Eastern Region. On the grounds of his education to blow his music career in the right direction, Tulenkey went to the Abromedia Institute where he studied Sound Engineering. He also went to the Adisadel College and presently lives in Dansoman.

The emerging rapper, switched to the name Tulenkey in 2019, after the creation of the song Proud Fvck Boys, which has taken the entire ghana and across the international scene by force. However, his first professional exploits was back in 2018.
When asked in an interview, about the influences behind his music, he says that his music style is influenced by great rappers like Kanye and Jay Z. According to Tulenkey, his name switch to Tulenkey was inspired by his uncle.
He also said the new name means “Worry,” which explains the reason he refers to himself as a “worrisome boy.” He came onto the scene with the song ‘Child Abuse,” which is a remake of Cardi B’s “I Like it.” In this song, he redefines sexual harassment as coming from women, which is a reverse of the popular notion. His song Proud Fvck Boy featured Eddie Khae. This single track has won him lots of endorsements from Top Ghanian personalities. Tulenkey has also been endorsed by the popular Hollywood actor, Idris Elba. He has also released an EP, alongside remix of the Proud Fvck Boys with the likes of Falz and Ice Prince.
Tulenkey was one of the rappers on Sarkodie’s Bibiba Song. This song was released alongside top acts like Lyrical Joe, Frequency, Yeyo, 2 Fyngerz, O’B Kay, Kofi Mole, Toy Boi, and CJ Biggerman. Most recently, he was tagged as The Heir to Rap Music in Ghana. The tag was endowed on him after the street banging “Child Abuse.”
