Teebillz who is an ex-husband to Tiwa Savage has reacted to the remand of Naira Marley at the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, custody by a federal high court in Lagos over alleged credit card fraud.
Nigerian Artist, Naira Marley who was charged by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) with 11-counts pleaded not guilty to the charges before Justice Nicolas Oweibo.
In his ruling, Justice Oweibo ordered that Marley be remanded in prison and adjourned the case until May 30 for the hearing on his bail application.
Teebillz reacting to the development took to hisInstagram handle to pray that Naira Marley be released even as he warned older Nigerian artiste to stop calling out young ones on social media.
He wrote: “May the grace of God be sufficient for the needs of this talented young man during his trials.
“We all make mistakes and my personal take is that most of this young guys don’t know better and I feel it’s our obligation as the older ones to put them right instead of just calling them out on social media for unnecessary validation!
“I don’t condone fraud or ignorance.”
Remember that Ruggedman has been accused of being the person behind the arrest of Marley and others.
However, denying the allegations, Ruggedman added that he has nothing against Naira Marley and hopes he will be discerning and utilize his position of influence appropriately.
Marley risks seven years in jail if found guilty in accordance with Section 33 (2) of the Cyber Crimes (Prohibition, Prevention, etc) Act, 2015.
