Tim Godfrey full name Timothy Chukwudi Godfrey is a multitalented Nigeria gospel musician. He is a music director, instrumentalist, voice instructor, writer, producer, conference speaker, presenter, music and art training consultant and musical concert clinician. Tim Godfrey is the manager and director of the “Xtreme Crew,” a Christian musical group.
Tim Godfrey Early Life
He was born in the northern part of Nigeria, Kaduna to be precise, into the large family of Mr. and Mrs. Victor Godfrey. He has two sisters and two brothers. Tim Godfrey obtained his primary and secondary education in Kaduna. He started music at a very young age in his church in Kaduna.
Tim Godfrey was a devoted member of his church choir, always present during choir rehearsals and he always performed with the choir, during choir ministration. He also learned how to play diverse types of musical instruments at his tender age. He kept on developing himself in different styles of music.

This talented musician, Tim Godfrey started making music as a kid in Kaduna. He spent most of his youthful days singing in his church choir in Kaduna. Tim Godfrey kept on growing in his musical skills. However, he officially switched to the gospel music genre in Nigeria in 2004. He is seen as the Nigerian version of Tyre Tibbet and Kirk Franklin. His crazy gospel music genre at that time held no competitions, so he began dropping hit singles after one another. He developed to become a musical director, voice instructor and has held the position for many years.
As said earlier, he also owns his own music band called “Xtreme,” and they are quite known for many hit tracks. However, not minding his official entry in 2004, he actually came into the limelight in 2008 when his first hit single hit astonishing success in the Nigerian Music Industry.
Tim Godfrey alongside his Xtreme band is more focused on evangelizing as they travel from place to place performing at Gospel concerts and shows all over Nigeria as well as Africa. They have presented at the Kora Awards sometimes in Africa in 2005, as well as Ghana. They have visited five states in America which they did in 2006 during their inter-states tour with other Nigerian elite gospel artists in a tour organized by a UK based music Company “Set Him off Music Ministries” sometime in 2007.
At the moment, Tim Godfrey is the manager of the Republic of Xtreme (ROX) record label which has got him touching lives across Nigeria and even beyond Africa.
