Taylor Swift, Jennifer Hudson Get Roles In The Movie ” Cats “

Taylor Swift has been given a role in the big screen version of the stage musical ” Cats “. This happens to be the pop singer’s biggest movie role so far.

According to several news publications, the 28 year old “Look What You Made Me Do” singer will be joining Jenniffer Hudson, Jame Corden and Ian McKellen in the movie.

The “Cats” is based on a book of poems by T.S Eliot and was first staged in 1981 at London after which it has been produced round the world. The movie version of the “Cats” is a production of Working Title Films.

According to sources close to the production, Jennifer Hudson will take on the character of Grizabella, who sings the show’s famous “Memory” ballad.
McKellen will play the character of the elderly feline leader Old Deuteronomy while Swift is expected to play the flirtatious red cat Bombalurina.
The director of the movie will be Britain’s Tom Hooper who directed Oscar Best Picture “The King’s Speech” and musical “Les Miserable” and shooting is expected to begin in Britain in November.
Taylor Swift’s “Reputation” album was the biggest selling album in 2017.
