He is one of the few Tanzanian singers who is known outside Tanzania with his song “Roho Yangu” becoming very popular.

He has with a lot of hard work built his brand into a renowned one in Tanzania current signed on WCB Wasafi Records, owned by one of Tanzania’s most prolific musician, Diamond Platnumz.
However, Rich Mavoko was previously signed on Kaka Empire Records, a Kenyan record label owned by King Kaka. This was after he was by featured Kenya’s Rabbit Kaka Sungura on their song “Njoo” in 2015 and he seemed to have fallen in love with Kenya after the project.
His contract with Kaka Empire Records wasn’t renewed at expiration as he preferred to go back to his country where he got a deal with WCB Wasafi Records, the first ever label in Tanzania owned by an artiste.
He is also the first ambassador to the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) Solar for Education (S4E) campaigned having signed a contract. The Solar for Education campaign is piloted by WWF Tanzania and is an initiative of the WWF Regional Office for Africa (ROA) Energy Hub piloted in 2015. It aims to demonstrate the opportunities that renewable energy solutions can make available to the social transformation in Africa.
