This beautiful, creative and multi-talented woman was born on the 18th of November 1978, in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. She has bagged so many awards and gotten several nominations. Muma Gee actually hails from Odiabidi which is a small village in Ahoada East Local Government Area, Ahoada, Rivers State. She was born and raised in Port Harcourt City, Rivers State. She was born into a devoted Christian family of six children which she happens to be the third child. Her father was into military medicine though, he died when she was still very young. After her father’s death, her mother trained and catered for her. When she was about four years old, Muma Gee joined her local church choir, The Seventh-day Adventist. Singing regularly in the choir made her understood that she had great skills and potentials in music.
She completed her basic and secondary education in Abuja, Nigeria and she also got her First School Leaving Certificate and West African Senior School Certificate. After she concluded with her primary and secondary education in Abuja, she returned back to Rivers State for her tertiary education and she obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Theatre Arts from the University of Port Harcourt, Rivers. After Muma Gee rounded-up her tertiary education, she went into full-time business and entrepreneurship. Coupled with her academic status, she owns several types of businesses ranging from tailor shop, vehicle leasing company, beauty salon, and restaurant. At a point she joined Port Harcourt burgeoning music scene, performing in various inner bars and nightclubs.

Moving to Lagos, really helped Muma Gee to kick start her music career. It was in Lagos, that she met Nelson Brown, a record producer and he enabled her to put together most of her first debut songs. In 2004, she gained popularity after the release of one of her hit singles titled “Kade”. She released her first official album in 2006 and she also titled it “Kade” and her first single “Kade” was the first song in that album. The music video of her first hit single “Kade” was directed by Wudi Awa and the song “Kade” got about five nominations which included Headies Awards, Nigeria Music Video Awards, Sound City Music Awards and two Amen Awards for best picture and best costume.
In 2007, she performed at the annual Nigerian Breweries-sponsored Star Trek music tour. And at the last stage of the national tour, which took place at Presidential Hotel, Enugu, she was the only female solo artist that performed at the concert amongst other talented musicians such as Daddy Showkey, P-Square, Davina and others.
On the 25th of May, 2008, Muma Gee premiered a song titled “Amedo” at a special night party in Ikoyi, Lagos. In 2009, she released the second track titled “African Juice” of her upcoming album. She also did a music video for the song “African Juice” and she got about four nominations in the 2009 Nigerian Music Videos Awards. In 2010, she released her second studio album titled “The Woman in Question”. She featured and worked with some great artist and producers such as Terry G, Samini, VIP, Puffy T, Cobhams Asuquo and OJB, in other to make the album a success. Also, in the month of March 2010, Muma Gee featured amongst nine other contestants in the Guilder Ultimate Search (a reality TV show)
In the early part of 2012, Muma Gee began working on her third studio album titled “Motherland” which had some great tracks like “African Woman Skilashy”, “Jikele”, “Port Harcourt is Back” and others.

She initially came under the umbrella of the People’s Democratic Party but later switched to the Labour Party, where she was the only party’s nominee for that position.

In June 2010, Muma Gee was invited by her formal camp-mate and also the winner of the 2010 Gulder Ultimate Search Emeka Ike and his wife Emma to a Thanksgiving at the Redeemed Christian Church. In the Thanksgiving Muma Gee met Prince Eke, who happened to be Emeka’s best friend and he was also a fast uprising Nollywood actor and she instantly befriended him. On the 23 of June 2010, which is less than two weeks after she met Prince Eke, he engaged her. Muma Gee relocated temporarily from Lagos back to Port Harcourt, in other to pursue her political career. After much marriage date cancellations, Muma Gee finally got married to Prince Eke on the 20th of December, 2011, in a double traditional marriage ceremony in Ahoada East and Ngor Okpala respectively.
And on the 23rd of December,2011 they did their white wedding in Port Harcourt. Muma Gee and her husband decided to reside in Port Harcourt and as of April 2014, the couple had a twin boy and girl, Chika and Chisa Eke respectively. They also later had their third child on the 18 of August 2016 and named her Okwuluoka Eke. She actually shares the same birthday with her dad. Even as a married woman with kids Muma Gee kept working on her singing career.
