George Timothy Clooney, nick-named “Gorgeous George” is an American actor, film producer, businessman, Philanthropist and a member of the council on Foreign Relations. He starred in Syriana in 2006 and co-produced Argo in 2012, he earned three Golden Globe Awards and two Academy Awards for these works. George Clooney has been notably involved in Political and economic activism. He started his acting career on television in 1978. He had a career breakthrough after his role as Dr. Doug Ross in ER. He fired on with “From Dusk till Dawn” (1996) and “Out of Sight” (1998), thus gaining more fame but one of his greatest commercial breakthrough was in “Ocean’s Eleven” which he starred in. George was born on May 6, 1961, in Lexington, Kentucky to his parents, Nick Clooney- former anchor-man and television host and his mother, Nina Bruce who was a beauty queen and city councilwoman. Clooney has ancestries from Irish, German, and English. He was raised a Roman Catholic. He attended school in St. Susanna, Mason and served there as an altar boy. The Clooneys moved back to Kentucky when George was just entering seventh grade, His parents moved again but this time to Augusta, Kentucky. Clooney attended Augusta High School and played baseball and basketball there. Clooney attended Northern Kentucky University to study “Broadcast journalism” but he didn’t graduate, he also attended the University of Cincinnati, but did not graduate either.
