Hadija Blell with the stage name Di’Ja is a Singer, Visual artist, Songwriter, Fashion Designer and Philanthropist. She was born on the 14th of August 1982, to a Sierra Leonean father who was a former deputy Minister in Sierra Leone and a mother from Zaria, Kaduna state, Nigeria. Before they settled finally in Kaduna, Nigeria, she lived in Sierra Leone, the United States and Canada. Di’Ja has a double bachelor Degree in Psychology and Biology.
Di’Ja’s parents have love for music and had a habit keeping large collections of old CDs, especially her mother, this built her love for music too. She began her music career in 2008 after a friend of hers, Aman Manhas signed her up for a singing competition in Canada after which she was awarded the ‘Best New Artist’ award at the Beat Music Awards in 2008. She performed as the opening act at the 49th Independence anniversary celebration in Sierra Leone for Akon. Di’Ja released her first single ‘Rock Steady’ which got her a nomination for the ‘Best Urban/R&B single’ category at the 2009 Canadian Radio Music Awards ,she released some of her singles in 2012 and 2013, some of these singles are ‘Dan’ Iska (Rudebwoy)’, ‘Hold On (B Damuwa) and ‘How Can We Be Friends’. Di’Ja stage name is derived from two name Ha’di’ja and Khadi’ja’.
She came into limelight when she was signed into Don Jazzy’s Mavins Records. She met Don Jazzy through her manager, who told her that they were going to meet a producer; she says “It was both exciting and scary”. Don Jazzy listened to some of her song and liked it. She revealed that she was actually put on probation for eight months where they worked and created music together to see the rapport between her and the rest of the crew. After which Don Jazzy signed her in to Mavin Records on February 14, 2014.Her first official single which she titled ‘Yaro’ was released on the same day, the single was a combination of her Sierra leonean native dialect Krio and her native Nigerian dialect Hausa. In May 2014, she featured in ‘Dorobucci’ alongside her Label Mates – Don Jazzy, Dr Sid, Tiwa Savage, D’Prince, Korede Bello and Reekado Banks. She released an extended play ‘Aphrodija’ on December 15, 2017 in which she featured Tiwa Savage and Reekado Banks.
She won the ‘Best New Artist’ at the 2008 Beat Music Awards.

Di’Ja is married to Mr Rotimi and has a baby boy. She revealed that she started dating her husband in 2014, got engaged in 2015, had her wedding Fatiha in 2015 and her traditional Yoruba wedding in December 2015. She had her baby boy in 2016.
She had an endorsement deal with the Telecommunications company, Globacom on July 1St 2015.
