David Adedeji Adeleke, aka Davido was born on the 21st of November, 1992 in Atlanta, Georgia to a wealthy business magnate Chief Deji Adeleke and Vero Adeleke. Before he could relocate back to Nigeria, he had already developed interest in music during his time at Oakwood University by purchasing musical instruments and making beats in the process.
However, as time progressed, he dropped out of the university where he was studying for a degree in Business Administration, when he started getting bad and unfavorable grades at school. He relocated to London and channeled his energy on his music career.
Well, as things weren’t exactly working out well for him, he returned back to Nigeria finally in 2011 and as a result he sidelined his music career to take up a musical course in Babcock university. His father insisted he must finish school but also realized his son’s heart and destiny was in music. So they both had to meet each other half way.
He finally graduated from Babcock University in 2015 with a degree in music. However, this was without a little controversy as he was the first and only student of his department then, fueling rumors that his father’s influenced played a large part in this academic pursuit.
