Bovi was born on the 25th of September 1979 in Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria. He attended University of Benin Staff School for his primary school education, the Government College, Ughelli for his secondary school education. Bovi also attended Edokpolor Grammar School and completed his secondary school education in Boys Model Secondary School, Onicha-Olona, Delta state. He furthered his education to university level bagging a degree in Theatre Arts from the Delta State University.
In his youthful years, he had always dreamt of being an entertainer and endeavored to pursue a career in entertainment with the support of his family. During his NYSC days, he served as a Reporter and later worked for Richard Mofe Damijo as a personal assistant from 2004 through to 2006. During his time as a personal assistant, he was also mentored by Richard Mofe Damijo.

He started out in his production in September 2006. He became known when he starred in his Sitcom ‘Extended Family’ which he wrote and produced. The sitcom was top-rated. It was about some events that happen in the lives of an extended family and therefore, also had educational potentials. By 2008, he began leading comedy shows and events. Bovi became well sought after and was featured in Opa Williams ‘ Night of a thousand laughs’, Basketmouth’s ‘Uncensored’ and ‘Lord of the Ribs’. He has worked with other famous Nigeria Comedians such as I Go Save, Basketmouth, Buchi; I Go Dye, Julius Agwu, Okey Bakassi, Odogwu and many others.
Bovi started up his own show, ‘Man on Fire’ in 2013. The show has become one to be looked forward to every year and unlike so many others is a solo stand up comedy show. Bovi described his comedy style as natural and very potent.
He also has a YouTube channel where he posts so many funny videos that are well appreciated by his fans. He is a close friend to Basketmouth, and they have worked alongside each other on international tours as well as the release of comedy skits and shows.
His other passions are acting, producing and writing and he plans to go back into acting very soon. He has starred in so many comedy videos and also in the movie ‘4-1-Love’. He premiered his first movie which he titled ‘It’s Her Day’ on October 8, 2016.
