Alexander Honnold is an American professional rock climber. He is best known for his solo ascents of big walls. His Achievement of free soloing “El Capitan” in the Yosemite National Park, is said to be one of the greatest athletic accomplishments of all time. Alex is the only person in history to free solo “El Capitan”, and holds the fastest-ascent of the Yosemite triple crown, an 18 hour, 50 minute link up of “Mount Watkins”, “The Nose”, and the “Regular Northwest Face of Half Dome”.

Alexander Honnold was born in Sacramento, United States, on 17 August 1985, to professor parents Deirdre Willowick and Charles Honnold. His only sibling is his sister named Stasia. The situation made him uncomfortable and placed him in trauma. He lost the peace of mind he used to have before, and soon started to miss classes.
